The PeaceCamp Initiative (PCI) is an award-winning program that brings Israeli and Palestinian youth leaders to one of the oldest summer camps in America where they forge the bonds of friendship and trust that the next generation of leaders will require if there is ever to be lasting peace in the region.

INTERNATIONAL AIKI PEACE WEEK

Dozens of dojos, multiple countries, one purpose – celebrating the Art of Peace.

International Aiki Peace Week (IAPW) is a weeklong, international celebration of the Art of Peace. IAPW encourages and supports dojos that sponsor events in their community spotlighting the peacemaking capacity of aikido.

BERTRAM & PAUL’S VISION

Back in 2009, Bertram Wohak (left) and Paul Linden (right) envisioned a worldwide celebration of The Art of Peace. Help maintain progress toward that vision by supporting International Aiki Peace Week. The first celebration of IAPW took place in September of 2010, with dojos from 43 countries participating.

  • TRAINING ACROSS BORDERS

    Breaking boundaries between aikidoka in conflict through the shared practice of The Art of Peace.

  • Aikido Ethiopia

    Founded in 2004 by Tesfaye Tekelu, Sandan, with the support and advice of Dr. Don Levine, an Ethiopian scholar, Aikido Sensei and founder of Aiki Extensions, Aikido Ethiopia currently has eleven operating dojos spanning every region in Ethiopia, as well as sister dojos throughout East Africa.

    Aikido Ethiopia also teaches the principles of Aikido in their work with youth and community through theater, music, art, and training in conflict resolution, gender equality and other social justice issues in the region.     Peace Dojos International (PDI) is a global network of martial arts schools that explicitly teach nonviolence, conflict resolution, and peacemaking. The PDI meets monthly to review new applications.
